The VIM HHI Medical Clinic conducts more than 21,000 patient visits annually, and is staffed by retired physicians, nurses, dentists, chiropractors, social workers, interpreters, and lay persons. The typical patient is impoverished, yet  working. In fact, about 70% of our patients either work or are members of families where someone is employed. We were the first free clinic established on the model of using retired and volunteer physicians, dentists, and mental health providers.  But today, there are over 100 other VIM clinics across the nation based on our prototype.
