Redefining Wellness

Over the years, VIM HHI’s focus has evolved from not just acute disease treatment, but also to a prevention and maintenance approach as demonstrated in our ongoing Wellness Program and our recent “Food as Medicine” initiative. Our intention is to not only to add years to our patients lives, but also add to the quality of life over those years. Our Food as Medicine Program recognizes that good nutrition and healthy life choices have a profound effect on keeping our patients well.

All of our Patients have access to the Wellness Clinic, where they are provided wellness counseling regarding nutrition, exercise, life choices. Our patients with food insecurity are offered food from the food pantry within the Wellness Clinic. Additionally, we now have a robust on-site Hydroponics Program, the “Farm-acy,” which annually supplies about 30,000 heads of healthy, leafy greens to patients and our neighbors in need.
