Volunteers in Medicine Clinic Hilton Head Island Receives Community Foundation of the Lowcountry Community Impact Grant

Volunteers in Medicine Clinic Hilton Head Island (VIM HHI) was one of three recipients to receive a Community Foundation of the Lowcountry Community Impact Grant.  The grant is designed to help VIM HHI quantify the critical role that VIM plays in keeping our community healthy.  Specifically, the grant enables purchase of medical software and tablets to be used by physicians and nurses as well as the hiring of two individual consultants.  One consultant will help VIM streamline processes and improve efficiency and the other will assist in analysis and definition of health outcome data to enhance future fundraising efforts.

“If we are committed to better documentation of our work and the importance of communication with the community that supports our VIM clinic, then this is a task well worth the effort,” said VIM Medical Executive Chair Dr. Steven Siegelbaum.  Volunteers in Medicine Clinic HHI is grateful to the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry for this substantial help toward a solid foundation for the future.
